Well you couldn’t ask for a more picture perfect day.  I enjoyed an early walk along the Gatineau river today where the views of the fall foliage on the other side were just spectacular.  That along with the sound of Geese flying south overhead.  There is a non stop train of them right now so you know winter is on it’s way.  I never knew the geese use the river as a guide.   I highly recommend a walk along the river at this time of the year.

I enjoyed another walk in the woods today where I got to see the fall colours up close and personal.  The forest floor is now a bed of red and yellow leaves and it is just gorgeous.  The air is crisp and the dogs have all found new depths of energy with the cooler weather.

We ran into a man in the woods today carrying an acoustic guitar on his back. Very strange as we hardly ever run into anyone.  The occasional mountain biker or runner and they usually  have a dog in tow so running into me and the dogs is never an issue for them.  This time I knew there was something ahead of us by the way the dogs were behaving and I just hoped it wasn’t a bear.  Then this middle aged man appeared with his guitar.  I was hoping he might start serenading us.  About half an hour later we ran into him again just walking with his guitar and no dog.  Very interesting what you can find in the woods.
